NEW YORK – Lil Wayn’es sentencing has been delayed until March 2 due to dental surgery, his attorney announced in a Manhattan courtroom Tuesday (February 9).

The rapper was scheduled to be formally sentenced by a judge and begin serving his one-year term stemming from a 2007 arrest that resulted in a guilty plea in October for attempted weapons possession.

The Cash Money MC arrived shortly after 2 p.m. with his label heads Birdman and Slim. He quietly entered the courtroom as photographers snapped pictures from the hallway. Wayne wore a navy coat and black-framed glasses, and he sat still while his lawyer Stacey Richman spoke.

She informed the judge that she sent a notification to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office that the rapper is suffering from a cracked tooth and would need to postpone his sentence. The judge agreed and ruled to reschedule for March 2.

The rapper is set to undergo surgery February 12 in Miami, according to Richman. He will need a week to 10 days to recover. His defense offered prosecutors February 25 as a date for Wayne to turn himself him in after surgery, but Judge Charles H. Solomon instead selected March 2.

The judge then warned Wayne that he must return to Miami on Tuesday. Solomon insisted if he leaves tomorrow, there would be a chance his surgery would be delayed due to hazardous weather conditions leaving New York.

“I don’t want this to get pushed back anymore,” Solomon said. “This is the last adjournment.”

Television show “FlashForward” has been having lots of problems lately, and it just got worse. David Goyer (“Batman Begins and “The Dark Knight” writer) has left the series with five episodes still left to shoot in the twenty three-episode order.

As my feature projects have started ramping up again, I felt I was being pulled in too many directions,” Goyer said in a statement. “I’m proud of the show and excited about the relaunch. It’s in great hands.

Regarding those feature projects, Deadline has learned that Goyer is now writing the third Batman installment with Christopher Nolan’s brother Jonathan.

It has been assumed that Christopher Nolan will get back to work on the franchise as soon as he is done with “Inception.” Since his new movie is set to hit theaters on July 16th, this gives Jonathan Nolan and David Goyer several months to work on the script.

Sigourney Weaver recently revealed that Bill Murray’s character in the third “Ghostbusters” movie will be a ghost. She said: “I know that my little son, Oscar – who was kidnapped from me – I think he has grown up to be a ghostbuster. I might be in it, although I don’t think I will have a big part in it. I think Bill Murray has a little more to do with it – he might be a ghost.”

Nobody was sure if Weaver was just kidding around or she actually knew what the script entailed. Now during an interview with MailOnSunday, Murray confirmed the entire thing.

“I’ll come back in ‘Ghostbusters 3′ only if I get to be a ghost,” he explained. “I said to them, ‘I’ll do it if you kill me off in the first reel.’ So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film.”

“Ghostbusters 3″ is once again directed by Ivan Reitman and is set to go in front of the cameras this summer for 2011 release.
